A 46-year-old health worker, Akinola Oyabiyi, has been shot and killed by suspected kidnappers near the Akure Airport gate in Ondo State.
According to a family source, the tragic incident occurred while Oyabiyi was driving home along the Akure Airport road.
The armed attackers reportedly struck on Tuesday, taking the life of the father of four.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Funmi Odunlami, stated that an investigation has commenced.
