The controversy over allocation of juicy committees to some members of the House of Representatives degenerated further on Tuesday.
Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, has been accused of allocating committees considered as ‘juicy’ to some of his loyalists and members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Prior to resumption of plenary on Tuesday, two members exchanged altercations in the White House within the National Assembly Complex.
Unfortunately, the lawmakers, Hon. Herman Hembe and Hon. Aliyu Madaki, who are both of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC could not control their emotions as they exchanged slaps.
Hon. Hembe is the chairman of the ‘juicy’ Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It will be recalled that some of the chairmen of committees had resigned in protest against the committees they were appointed to chair.
