Few days after his declaration as the winner of the September 21, 2024 Edo state governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to the Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his deputy, Mr. Dennis Idahosa.
The short presentation ceremony which took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday saw politicians including the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and some members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) in attendance.
Prompt News reports that other dignitaries in attendance were court-reinstated Edo Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu; Senator Matthew Uroghide; General Cecil Esekhaigbe (retd); Senator Francis Alimikhena; Hon. Ogbeide Ihama; Hon. Omosede Igbinedion and Blessing Agbonmhere.
