Former Nigeria International, Chikelue Iloenyosi has joined the chairmanship race to lead Anambra state Football Association in the forthcoming election.
Iloenyosi said his main objective is to unite the football family in Anambra State which has been engulfed with crisis recently.
“My coming to run for the Anambra F.A chairmanship position is to bring real change, the real change that will bring football development.
“Part of my mission is to bring in sponsors to the round leather game in the State and also encourage football development at the grassroot level.
“I will encourage Primary schools football competition in the state.
” I will work with Governor to ensure early completion of Anambra State own stadium. Anambra deserves premier league club which I will work towards actualization of getting one . Thank God the state Governor has given the go ahead for the establishment of Anambra State own male and female clubs.
“Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah is my friend and remains my friend no matter the outcome of the election. The most important thing here is to move football forward. So I am not running against anybody . I am running because I have something to offer for my state.
Iloenyosi insisted that the Executive Governor Willy Obiano has no preferred candidate but only interested in any candidate who can develop the state and bring in sponsors.
