Wife of the President of the Senate, Mrs. Helen Mark at the weekend gave glory and thanks to the Almighty God for preserving and keeping her healthy among the living at 62.
Mrs. Mark told the congregation at the St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo in Abuja church service to commemorate her 62nd birthday that God has been kind and merciful to her all these years.
To this end, she promised to dedicate the rest of her life to the service of God and humanity.
Mrs. Mark assured that she would expand her pet project ‘ Women Skills Development and Support Initiative (WEDSI) programme in Otukpo, Benue state to further empower more women and the less privileged in the society .
She also called on well meaning Nigerians and corporate organizations to do more to assist the less privileged in order to make the society a better place for all.
Mrs. Mark canvassed for unity, love for one another, harmony and peaceful coexistence between and among communities.
In his homily, Rev. Father Innocent Jooji implored those in authorities to make the security and welfare of the citizenry the cornerstone of their policies and actions.
Jooji urged that Nigerians should imbibe the culture of living in peace with one another pointing out that God’s design is for people to live in harmony with one another.
