Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has called for support from all religious bodies in the state to enable his administration succeed in transforming the lives of the people.
Sule stated this during the inauguration and dedication of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) ultra modern headquarters secretariat along Keffi road, Alushi, Akwanga local government area of the state.
Sule, represented by his Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Mr Yakubu Kwanta, called on all faith-based organizations to support his administration as it strives to achieve peace, unity and development of the state.
The governor also acknowledged the contributions of the ERCC to the development of education, health, women and youth empowerment as well as leadership development programmes for the youth through the boys brigade and girls guide programmes and urged them to continue in that direction.
He reminded the congregation that he is still the only Muslim governor who returns to the church to give Thanksgiving to God after his election as governor of the state in 2019.
Sule said he did that because he had his primary education in a Roman Catholic school during his formative stage in life.
The governor donated N5 million to enable the church furnish the edifice.
Speaking earlier, Rev Dave Denji, ERCC National president, expressed joy over the completion and inauguration of the modern headquarters secretariat and promised to ensure that the edifice is well utilized.
He assured the governor of ERCC’s continuous support.
