Napoli manager Rudi Garcia insisted that the club had no intention of hurting their talismanic striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen was infuriated after a video was posted on the club’s TikTok account this week.
In the video, Osimhen was mocked for missing a penalty in the Partenopei’s 0-0 draw against Bologna last weekend.
Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda threatened to take legal action against Napoli following the incident
The 24-year-old also took down all images of him in the Partenopei jersey on his social media accounts. READ ALSO:

“Over the last two days there was a bit of trouble with some clumsy behaviour. Nobody wanted to be hurtful, not the TikTok with the video of Victor, nor Victor by taking his photographs down on social media. Nobody intended to hurt anyone, these are instinctive reactions and are understandable,” Garcia was quoted by Football Italia.
“It is his social media account, he can do what he wants with it. All I can say is that he loves this jersey and will give everything for Napoli this season as well.”
