After several days of indecision occasioned by his club’s recent under-performance in the English Premier League (EPL), Arsenal FC captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Tuesday signed a new deal with the club.
The 31-year-old Gabonese made the announcement via a live video from the club’s home ground, Emirates Stadium, London.
Aubameyang who scored in Arsenal’s first game victory at Fulham on Saturday was seen clearly overjoyed in the video footage which has gone viral.
The Gabon Captain and leading striker also scored two goals against Chelsea in the FA Cup final in July, securing the Gunners’ place in next season’s Europa League.
He joined the London club, Arsenal in January 2018 and won the Premier League Golden Boot in his first full season in 2018-19.-
