The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ife Unit Command, on Friday decorated seven of its newly promoted officers with their ranks.
Addressing the newly promoted officers at the command’s office in Ile-Ife, the Acting Unit Commander, Pius Ogunloye, urged them to uphold the core values of FRSC.
The newly promoted officers include Mr Odediji Olutunde, who was promoted to Route Commander.
Mr Jephtha Adeniji, Mr Taiwo Alonge, Mr Gabriel Olawale, Mr Isreal Olabisi, Mr Idris Mukta and Mr Solomon, were promoted to Assistant Route Commanders, respectively.
Ogunloye urged the promoted officers to increase their zeal in carrying out their duties.
He expressed his appreciation to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the promotion and urged the officers of the command to work harder.
“Your appraisal scored you well, that is why you are being decorated today; it is expected that you must live up to the expectations of the Corps.
“It is expected that you work to support the corporate strategy goal of FRSC. Our mission is to create safe motoring environment in Nigeria,” Ogunloye said.
In his goodwill message, the Divisional Police Officer in-charge of Iperumodu Police Division, CSP Oke Solomon, while congratulating the newly promoted officers, advised them to redouble their efforts in taking the FRSC to greater heights.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, Route Commander Odediji Olutunde, appreciated the Corps Marshal and Unit Commander for rewarding their performances with promotion.
Olutunde urged other officers of the Unit to be hardworking, courageous and follow the rules and regulations of FRSC.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that personnel of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Police and Ife Central Local Government among others, witnessed the event. (NAN).
