The Congress of Federal Capital Territory Football Association has unanimously endorsed Abba Mohamed Mouktar for second term in office, having successfully implemented his 5-point agenda in his first tenure.
The Congress lauded his grassroot programme in the six area councils of the territory especially age grade competitions for U-13, U-15 and U-17 , the first in the history of football administration in FCT.
The Chairman also ensure that the FCT League he revamped in his first year in office is sustained and played in the six area councils with final in the City centre.
He also introduced for the first time U-15 and U-18 girls competitions in the area councils.
In terms of football development, Mouktar ensured that the football pitches in the area councils Abaji, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Bwari , Kwali and AMAC are regrassed and upgraded. Bwari Township Stadium can now host NPFL matches and other national competitions .
Mouktar conducted Local Council Football Elections in the six area councils the first in the history of FCT FA football administration. He personally sponsored more than 50 fict coaches to NIS in Abuja and Lagos for various courses, same with Referees and other relevant football stakeholders.
According to Coach Abimbola, FCT FA board member,” we begged him to re contest , ordinarily he was not willing due his schedules but after appeals from stakeholders he accepted to run again in other to consolidate on the gains so far recorded”
