By Harry Awurumibe, Abuja. Nigeria’s U 20 Women’s football team, Falconets have settled down in the team hotel in France after travelling short distances from Austria to France via Germany.
The African representatives touched down in France before 6pm Thursday after nearly two weeks training camp in Austria.
While there, Head Coach Christopher Danjuma Musa and his assistants perfected the strategies which will see the Falconets fight for the coveted FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup this time around.
Nigeria has on two occasions played in the final of the biannual competition but was defeated by Germany in 2010 and 2014.
Interestingly, Nigeria will play her first match against Germany on August 6 in Saint-Malo before taking on Haiti on August 9 at same place and played the third Group match against China in Dinan- Lehon on August 13.
