The nation’s capital football governing body on Monday received with rude shock the news of the death of former FCT FA Chairman, Mr Ben Agarry.
Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT FA, Mouktar Mohammed condoled with Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora over the death of Agarry, who died after a brief illness.
In a condolence message in Abuja on Monday to the deceased family, Mouktar sympathised with the family and friends of the late football administrator , describing his demise as a huge loss to the football administration in the federal capital Territory.
“He was passionate about the development of football and deeply committed to a Nigeria football that will attain her position in the comity of nations.
”It’s sad to lose such a hopeful, ebullient soul so soon.”
Ben Agarry was the Chairman, FCT FA between 2005 and 2006, pioneering the affair of football in the nation’s capital. and also a former board member of then Nigeria Football Association led by Ibrahim Galadima.
He also served in various committees of the NFF and was a Match Commissioner.
