Speaker of Kwara House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has urged Muslim faithful to internalise the lessons and essence of Ramadan and sustain its virtues beyond the holy month.
Danladi-Salihu stated this in a congratulatory message issued in Ilorin on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulkadir Yusuf, on completion of the Ramadan fast and the Eid-el Fitr celebration.
He congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Sarkin Musulumi in the state, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all Muslims across the state on the successful completion of the sacred religious act.
”Eid- el-Fitr felicitations to our royal father, the governor, our highly respected traditional and religious leaders as well as my dear brothers and sisters in Islam.
”May Almighty Allah accept all our acts of worship during the sacred month and beyond.
“It is imperative for us as Muslims to internalise the great lessons the month of Ramadan has taught us and carry them on beyond the sacred month.
”It is also important to continue to support our leaders with prayers for them to successfully tackle our challenges and take us to the promised land,” the speaker said.
He called on Muslims to pray earnestly to the Almighty Allah for peace, security and development in Kwara and Nigeria in general. (NAN)
