The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday said it has sealed off six properties allegedly owned and acquired with suspected proceeds of crime by Abdulrasheed Maina.
According to a statement by EFCC, the properties are a two storey commercial building located on Ibrahim Taiwo road, a bungalow located on Katuru road, and 4 separate properties located on Kano road in Kawo new extension Kaduna.
Recall that Maina, a former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, was secretly reinstated into the Federal Civil Service last week and posted to the Ministry of Interior.
Following the outrage that greeted the reinstatement, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, directed immediate disengagement of Maina from the civil service.
The President also directed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the recall of a man who has been accused of complicity in a N2 billion fraud.
