The Minister of Education Professor Tahir Mamman has expressed his delight on the appointment of Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, OON as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The Minister stated this in his Congratulatory Message to the newly appointed number one Civil Servant of the Nation. He describes her appointment as a testament to her exceptional leadership and dedication to public service.
In a statement by Mrs Folashade Boriowo, the Director of Press in the Ministry, Mrs Walson-Jack was until her appointment, the Permanent Secretary in the Education Ministry.
Prof Mamman futher testified on his working experience with her that “with a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Mrs. Walson-Jack has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity. Her appointment as Federal Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education on January 15, 2024, marked a significant milestone in her career, and her achievements in the education sector have been remarkable.”
He then reaffirmed his trust in her competence that “As Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Walson-Jack will leverage her vast experience and expertise to drive transformative change, enhance service delivery, and foster a culture of excellence in the public service. Her appointment is a significant milestone in the nation’s efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the public service.”
