Although the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has given Hon. Ogbeide Ihama until 12.30pm today (Wednesday) to finalize his agreement with Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki, the court case may have been dead.

This is because all the parties in the Edo state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Primary Election case going on at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State have agreed for an out of court settlement.

This was disclosed Wednesday by the Lead Counsel to the plaintiff, Firdinald Orbih, at the resumed hearing of the case.

He informed the court that they have served all the originating summons to parties to the suit and also published the order in two national newspapers as ordered by the court.

He averred that the parties have opted for out of court settlement while all the counsels to the defendants told the court that they had no objection to the application for the out of court settlement.

The presiding judge. Justice Emmanuel Obile granted the application and then stood down the matter for 12.30pm to give the parties more time to finalize their agreement.
