A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State and immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has felicitated minority leaders in the Edo State House of Assembly on their emergence.
Agba, in a swift reaction, moments after their emergence on Monday, said he was excited by the choice of Hon Barrister Eric Okaka, representing Owan East Constituency, as the minority leader.
He said the emergence of Hon Osamwonyi Evbaguehita Atu, representing Orhionmwon East Constituency, as minority whip would positively complement the minority leadership structure in the state legislature.
Agba said that both principal officers of the State House of Assembly were leading lights of the opposition vanguard.
He said he trusted in their ability to provide leadership to the opposition in the legislature.
Agba urged them to double down in the discharge of the onerous responsibilities of their respective positions.
He appealed to all members of the House of Assembly across party lines to work in synergy with the leadership of the House in the task of making good laws in the interest of Edo State and its people.
