Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Keshi has commended his boys for the emphatic win over their South African counterpart to lift the Mandela Challenge cup in Durban Wednesday night
Speaking after the match, Keshi expressed delight at the organization and understanding the boys exhibited during the game that Eagles won 2-0, noting that Bafana gave a good account of themselves.
He stated that the Eagles performance was a warning signal to the boastful Malawians, saying hey would be roasted on September 7 in Calabar when they clash in a world cup qualifier.
“I am proud of my boys and I must say they won my heart and have given me hope that they would not spare Malawi come September 7 in Calabar. We shall continue to develop the Eagles until they become a finished product” Keshi stated
Also commenting on the match, former Super Eagles, Ben Iroha said the team performed very well and deserved to win the Mandela Challenge cup
He said Coach Keshi has also done well by throwing some new boys into the fray adding that the performance of the new boys has given him options to pick from.
