Retired Director of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Dr Kevin Ogbonna Ike was on penultimate Thursday conferred with the prestigious chieftancy title of UGO-CHITUBELU NANKA by the traditional ruler of Nanka Kingdom in Anambra State, HRH, Igwe Godwin Ogo Ezeilo.
The ceremony which took place at the Obunanka palace of the highly revered monarch was witnessed by Dr Ike’s friends, relations and well wishers from far and near, including his wife, Lady Evangeline Ike and children.
Although Sir Ike, a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of St Mulumba (KSM), hails from Igboukwu, a neighbouring community, he was considered for the award according to sources close to the palace because of his immense contributions to the growth and advancement of Nanka Kingdom.
A Certificate of Recognition signed by the Monarch and presented to the Awardee reads, “Having been selected and duly screened and presented to me by Nanka Patroitic Union through the President General in Council, hereby confer on you Honorary Chieftancy title and hereby certify that you have accordingly been recognised with the title of Ugo Chukwu Tubelu Nanka”.
While accepting the honour, Chief Ike expressed his gratitude to the Nanka monarch, the Igwe in Council, the President General of Igboukwu Development Union, Dr MCK UBA. READ ALSO:

He also full of gratitude to his follow Knights, Sir Charles Omalu, CEO of Ozom Hotel Enugu;, Sir C. U Attamah, CEO of Tamara Hotels, Abuja and Chief Dennis Odogwu CEO of Only God Global Estate for their show of love and solidarity throughout the duration of the event.
High point of the ceremony was a grand reception for invited guests at his “Forest Home” in Igboukwu.
