Pandemonium broke Thursday afternoon at the Gudu Market near Apo District of Abuja after two cult groups clashed, leaving two persons dead and many others wounded in the process.
Prompt News reports that the clash at Gudu market threw many people into panic with several people scampering for safety just as others especially motorists, tricycle drivers and motorcyclists running as far as they can.
With many not knowing what happened before running away from the scene of the incident, others who saw people running in all directions joined in the journey to nowhere.
Thus, the fracas at Gudu market left residents around the Gudu and Apo Districts as well as people living in Lokogoma, Garki, Kabusa, Galadimawa, Mpape and its environs in panic mood.
The ripple effects of the fracas reverberated across the metropolis as many people ran in different directions thereby causing more panic among the residents.
In fact, for the residents of the FCT, it has become One Week, One Trouble as no day passes in Abuja without incidents of loss of lives or properties.
