A 37-year-old Mufutau Abogunde, a.k.a. Etu, was on Wednesday remanded in prison custody by an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged murder of two persons.
Abogunde of No. 44, Railway Line, Odi-Olowo, Mushin, appeared before the court on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy and murder.
His plea was not taken.
The Magistrate, Mr O.O. Olatunji, remanded the accused in prison pending the outcome of sought advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP’).
The Prosecutor, Insp. Oladele Adebayo, had told the court that the accused committed the offences on March 9 at 11.10 p.m. on Opeyemi Street in Abule Ijesha, Lagos.
Adebayo said that the accused gunned down Akintunde Fadugba, 57, and Rasaq Akhokhia, 27, where they were drinking at a beer parlour.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 223 and 283 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
Olatunji adjourned the case until June 4 for legal advice.
