A Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, on Wednesday ordered that a 23-year-old cleaner, Abdurasheed Yahaya be remanded after he pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of Hennessy worth N290,000.
The Magistrate, Mr M.E. Owumi, remanded him in a correctional centre in Lagos.
Owumi adjourned the case until Jan. 31 for sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Samuel Ishola told the court that Yahaya committed the offence on Jan. 9 at TAT Restaurant, located at Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ishola alleged that Yahaya, who was a cleaner at the bar, stole Hennessy valued at N290,000 where it was kept in the bar, property of TAT Restaurant. READ ALSO:

The prosecutor said the offences contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
