Nigeria’s representatives Enyimba have been drawn against holders Zamalek of Egypt in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Prompt News reports that other teams in Group D are Al Masry of Egypt and Mozambique’s Black Bulls.
The draw ceremony was conducted at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday.
The top two teams in the group will qualify for the knockout round of the competition.
Enyimba booked their spot in the money spinning group stage after edging past Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso on penalties in the second preliminary round.
The People’s Elephant will be looking to make history as the first Nigerian club to win Africa’s second tier club competition.
The group stage will kick -off in November, 2024.
