Having seen all the projects executed by Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the governor for his effort in transforming the physical landscape of the state with the littered projects.
The President made the commendation while commissioning the various projects across Kaduna metropolis, Kafanchan and Zaria, all executed by the administration of Governor el-Rufai.
Buhari, who is in Kaduna State which incidentally has been home to him, was received in the state on Wednesday evening by the governor with the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, among other dignitaries from the state.
In a statement by Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi, Special Adviser, Media & Communications to the Finance Minister on Saturday, the President commissioned the popular Kawo bridge, many dualised kaduna metropolis roads, the Murtala Square, and many others in Kafanchan and Zaria.
Mrs. Zainab Ahmed who was on the delegation also commended the governor for his foresight and bravery in embarking on such enormous projects in the state. She praised the governor and his team of ‘brilliant youngsters’ . She said: ” We are very well aware of the hard work you have put into achieving these milestones, and surely posterity will be very kind to all of you” .
Continuing, she said, “the dedication of the contractors and all the people of kaduna State who supported these projects is worthy of special commendation.
“As an indigene of Kaduna myself, I am proud of what I have seen and I hope these projects and vision will remain so. Kaduna State has become a new city, and an indigene who has not visited for long will surely miss his way”.
