Ademola Lookman has won the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, Prompt News reports.
The Nigerian beat Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi, Rowen Williams and Serhou Guirassy to the prestigious award.
Atalanta‘s striker, Lookman succeeds compatriot, Victor Osimhen, who won the award last year.
The 27-year-old make a big impact for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The talented winger scored three goals and provided one assist at the competition with the Super Eagles finishing in second position.
He also scored a historic hat-trick for Serie A club, Atalanta in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
