President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recommended N30,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the country.
Consequently, he has promised to immediately forward an Executive Bill to the National Assembly for consideration and passage into law.
Mr Buhari gave the assurance on Tuesday, when he received the report of the Tripartite Committee on Review of National Minimum Wage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The report was presented to the President by the chairman of the committee and a former Head of Service of the Federation, Ms Ama Pepple.
President Buhari thanked members of the committee for doing a thorough assignment.
