A heartbreaking incident has occurred in Anambra State, where a banker, identified as Ifeoma, lost her life at the hands of kidnappers despite her family paying a ransom.
Ifeoma was abducted in Onitsha, and her remains were later found near Ideani Junction along the Nnobi/Alor Road.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishi shared the grim news on social media, along with a photo of the deceased.
He voiced deep concern over the growing insecurity in the region, warning that failure to address the issue could result in further loss of lives.
The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the victim’s body had been recovered and an investigation was underway to uncover the details surrounding her death.
