The Oyo State Government says the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Aseyin of Iseyin, Ọba Olawale Oyebola, will take place on Dec. 14.
The state’s Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, in a statement on Thursday said the state government has already set up a coronation committee for the event.
He said the committee was also to organise the events of the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Soun of Ogbomoso, also scheduled for Dec. 19.
“The committee is chaired by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Segun Ogunwuyi, while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Segun Olayiwola, is a member.
“Other members of the government coronation committee are the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, and the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
“Also, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security, Mr Sunday Odukoya, is a member of the committee,” Oyelade said.
He disclosed that the committee has been holding meetings with the coronation committees from the two palaces in the past few weeks and have inspected the venues slated for the events.(NAN). READ ALSO:
