Expectedly, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Abayomi Oyebanji has been declared winner of the 2022 Ekiti State Governorship Election.
The election took place on Saturday even as the party cleared the polls in 15 out of 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
Oyebanji of APC polled 187, 057 votes to beat his closest rival, Engr. Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) who got 82, 211 votes.
Bisi Kolawole of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 67, 457 votes to place a distance third position.
