Ahead of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Conference, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Elections, coming up this Thursday, 24th August, 2023, the Anambra State government has endorsed a Council Member, Dr. Ike Neliaku for the presidency of the Institute.
In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, the government says the election of Dr. Neliaku will usher in a new dawn for the Institute.
Anambra State Government urges delegates to massively vote for Dr. Neliaku, whom it described as an accomplished Public Relations Practitioner, Development Expert, Real Estate Developer, and Researcher.
The Commissioner while maintaining that Dr. Neliaku stands tall among other contestants said he has “worked in the Federal Public Service for over 20 years, holding key positions in Federal Ministries and the Presidency at different times.”
He further stated that Dr. Neliaku, “has travelled to over 45 countries as a member of various Federal Government delegations, and participated in more than 55 technical missions on sustainable development; information and communication management; negotiations, conciliation and diplomacy; cultural relations; public sector administration; infrastructure development; leadership and management development; gender equity and empowerment; youth development; etc.
Sir Nwosu stressed that given his unparalleled traceable leadership competences, the NIPR as an Instute stands to gain immensely from Dr. Neliaku’s wealth of experience.
He appealed to members of the Institute to support the birth of a new era for NIPR by voting Dr. Neliaku as its President.
The event scheduled to hold in Abuja with the theme: “Leadership, Public Relations & Value Creation”, is expected to look at critical issues on national development.
