Former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has mourned the passing of founder of DAAR Communications Group, Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, describing his death as a great loss to humanity.
Agba said he received the news of Dokpesi’s death with pains in his heart, saying further that “humanity, Nigeria and Edo State have lost one of their illustrious leaders.”
He said that Edo North Senatorial District, in particular, had been diminished with the death of Dokpesi, adding that the people would sorely miss him, his leadership, communitarian spirit, and philanthropy.
Agba also described Dokpesi as a brilliant and productive business investor, who traversed the maritime and media industries, where he made indelible marks.
According to Agba: “High Chief Raymond Dokpesi was a great mind who defined his life and times with the magnitude of his accomplishments.
“I send my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family that he adored and cared for with all of his heart, the management and staff members of DAAR Communications Group PLC, and his political associates.
“I pray that the Almighty God would grant all of us the fortitude to bear this monumental loss which his death typifies at this time.”
