Augustine Eguavoen has accepted the responsibility of managing the Super Eagles in interim capacity again.
The Super Eagles are still without a substantive head coach after German tactician Bruno Labbadia pulled out of his agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday.
Eguavoen, who is the NFF technical director will now tinker the team in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The 59-year-old will assume the role of Super Eagles head coach for the fourth time.
The former defender stated that he is ready for the challenge of managing the team again, PNO Sports reports.
”1 will do it for the love of the country and the game ,” Eguavoen told Mastersports.
“Remember football gave me name and fame and the country gave me opportunity so it’s difficult to say no at this point because of the circumstances we find ourselves. “
