Umar Sadiq is now likely to miss Nigeria’s opening game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Equatorial Guinea after skipping training for the second day.
The Real Sociedad star trained separately as the Super Eagles observed a light session following their arrival in Abidjan on Wednesday.
Sadiq also sat out Thursday’s training at the Ecole Nationale de la Police, Abidjan.

The striker now has two days to prove his fitness ahead of the Super Eagles first Group A game.
Jose Peseiro’s side will take on the Nzalang Nacional at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Sunday.
