The Commissioner of Police (CP), Kaduna State Command, Mr Abdullahi Mudassiru, has embarked on on-the-spot assessment and patrol of the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalije, disclosed this in a statement he issued on Wednesday in Kaduna.
Jalige said the CP was on on-the-spot assessment of the expressway because of the kidnapped of the Emir of Bungudu in Zamfara, Alhaji Alhassan Attahiru, on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
On his entourage were the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Mustapha Bala, Area Commander, Kakuri, ACP Shuaibu Sani and the officer-in-charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command.
The statement said the patrol was aimed at upgrading the security strategy along the highway and to also have an on-the- spot assessment of the scene of the emir was kidnapped.
“The CP will also have an interface with personnel deployed in that axis in order to boost their moral towards ending the menace of kidnappings along the highway,” Jalije said. (NAN)
