All is now set at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja as over 300 Athletes converge for the Pre- Africa Games Evaluation Meet begins today to end on Saturday.
A statement signed by the Secretary General of Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Rita Mosindi, said the evaluation meet has been split into two phases to accommodate the large number of athletes.
The first phase of the meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday February while the second phase will hold 16th to 17th February in Abuja.
The statement also approved events for the men’s category to include; 100m, 400m, 1,500m, 400mH, High Jump, Long Jump and Javelin while the events for the women’s category are; 100m, 400m, 800m, 100mH, Triple Jump, Discus and Race Walk. READ ALSO:

Mosindi also stated that prizes will be available for 1st to 6th positions in the men and women’s events ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 naira respectively
The 13th edition of the African Games is scheduled for 8th to 13th March in Ghana
