All is now set for the inaugural edition of N-Youth League Cup billed to start September 8, 2024 and ends in April 2025 with the matches to be played on home and away basis.
The President of Nigeria Youth league Cup, Robinson Adakosa who made this known in Abuja said the tournament is to provide professional and top-tier player development, pathway for future’ international players.
He said the competition has been endorsed by the Sports Ministry, NFF, Nigeria Premier Football League, Nigeria National League, the FCT FA and other relevant football stakeholders.
Adakosa further revealed that 30 Youth teams will participate in the maiden edition of the League with the cash prize of N40 and traditional days for the NYLC is Tuesdays at 4 pm prompt st various centred with 843 games .
Speaking further , he said the 30 teams have been grouped into two. Group A comprises of Lobi Stars FC, AS Roma Academy, Dynamic Africa Stars FC, Garden City Partners, Legacy Stars FC, Joecas FC Jos, Mees Palace FC and Plateau United.
Other teams includes, Yobe Desert Stars, Kano Pillars FC, ABS FC , Shield City FC,and Kwara Utd FC.
Group B, comprises of Abia Warriors, Enugu Rangers , Akwa Utd. Bucknor FC of Lagos, Rivers Utd, Enyimba FC , Shuttle Select FA, Royalty FC of Lagos, Atlantic Business FC and Eagles Stars of Lagos.
