The Super Eagles finished their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on high following a 6-0 victory against Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.
Victor Osimhen gave Nigeria the lead on 15 minutes, PROMPT NEWS reports.
The Napoli hitman nodded home superbly from Ademola Lookman’s corner-kick.
Lookman doubled the advantage a minute before the half hour mark.
The winger dribbled past three markers before unleashing powerful shot that sailed into the net.
The Super Eagles failed to score more goals in the first half despite creating several scoring chances.
Kelechi Iheanacho set up Taiwo Awoniyi with a superb pass for the third goal five minutes after the break.

The 24-year-old scored his hat-trick in the 70th minute after he was teed up by substitute Samuel Chukwueze.
Chukwueze fired home the sixth goal 10 minutes from time.
