Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has said he will cope with the absence of Nigerian duo, Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Boniface and Tella are among five Leverkusen’s players that are expected to be called up by their respective countries for the AFCON.
The other three are; Burkina Faso’s Edmond Tapsoba, Ivory Coast’s Amine Adli, and Morocco’s Odilon Kossounou.
“That’s the game calendar,” the former Real Madrid star said, per Kicker.
“We are losing some players, but we have seen that all players can play. We will decide so that we have a competitive team.
