2016 IAAF World Indoor: Mozia, George-Okon make team to Portland, Oregon


One of the leading shot put thrower in the world in 2016 Stephen Mozia is in Team Nigeria track and field team to the Portland 2016 IAAF World Championships in Oregon, USA.

The championships start March 17 and ends March 20 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Sprinter Ogho-Oghene Ekwero will compete in the men 60m.

The trio of Erayokan Orukpe, Chidi Anthony Okezie and Adekunle Fasansi will compete in the men 400m.

Veteran jumper Tosin Oke will compete in the triple jump, while Patience Okon George will compete in the women 400m.

The men 4x400m team include Okezie, Orukpe, Fasansi, Samson Nathaniel, Noah Akwu, and Henry Okorie, Abiola Onakoya is listed as the alternate.

The women 4x400m team include Patience Okon-George, Regina George, Margret Omolara Bamgbose, Ada Benjamin, and Tamika Jameson. Margret Etim and Praise Idamadudu are the alternate.

Team will be handled by Eric Campbell, Gabriel Okon, Gabriel Opuana and Daniel Etsebimimor.
