Two brothers, Adamu and Khalid Salihu, 24, were on Thursday docked in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a Honda grinding mill engine worth N165,000.
The defendants whose addresses were not provided, are charged with conspiracy and stealing, offences they denied committing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Chidi Leo, said that the brotherss committed the offence on March. 16, at Kawo Market, Kaduna at about 1:00am.
He said that the brothers conspired and broke into a shop, belonging Jamilu Yusuf and stole a Honda grinding mill engine.
Leo said the defendants were caught and handed over to the police by a security guard who raised an alarm when he saw them in the act of stealing.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.

The Magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
Emmanuel said that the sureties must be gainfully employed and adjourned the case until April 22, for hearing. (NAN)
