In what promises to be a thrilling display of talent and sportsmanship, the 10th Senate President’s Cup is set to kick off with a bang, as Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee, Senator Ita Enang, pledges a top-notch football tournament, tagged “Renewed Hope Edition.”
During a recent briefing session with tournament coordinator John Bassey Ekpeyoung, the esteemed Senator Enang expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring a flawless tournament.
“I will do everything within my powers to ensure a hitch-free tournament,” Senator Enang affirmed, highlighting his dedication to delivering an exceptional sporting event.
In a nod to Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio’s enduring support for sports, Senator Enang commended Akpabio’s passion for athletics, noting, “Senator Godswill Akpabio GCON has been a lover and promoter of sports since his days as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state.”
The tournament stands as a testament to Akpabio’s commitment to fostering sports development and unity through the power of sports.
Tournament Coordinator John Bassey Ekpeyoung shared that preparations are well underway, with the tournament receiving blessings from key football stakeholders across the country.

A total of 13 teams representing the six geo-political zones of Nigeria are gearing up for the football extravaganza scheduled to take place from November 10 to 17, 2024, at the prestigious Old Parade Ground in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
