Determined to lead Nigeria to another Cup victory in this year’s African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana, Super Falcons Technical Adviser, Thomas Dennerby will return to Nigeria tomorrow from his native country – Sweden.
The experienced manager who left Nigeria shortly after leading the Falcons to defeat the Gambian senior women’s team home and way last April to qualify for this year’s AWCON billed for Ghana in November is expected to land in Abuja Saturday afternoon.
He told Prompt News Online exclusively on phone that he will settle down for work immediately, adding that he had already submitted his programme to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) because of his desire to put together a formidable team which is capable to retain the trophy Nigeria won in Cameroon including 2016.
He said, “I am coming back to Abuja tomorrow (Saturday). I will report to NFF office on Monday to discuss with the authorities on the programme I had submitted earlier.
“I am working ahead of time to ensure that we have a good preparations for AWCON”.
Nigeria has won the trophy countless times under local coaches and Dennerby has expressed his determination to also lead the Super Falcons to lift the cup in Ghana.
