Ebonyi People Hold Solidarity Rally For Gov Umahi

No fewer than 4, 000 protesters who hail from Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo federal constituency of Ebonyi state Monday staged solidarity match in support of Governor David Umahi’s second term bid.

The constituents, who matched round major roads and streets in Abakaliki during the solidarity rally, also drummed support for the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Linus Okorie.

The leader of the protesters Nnamdi Onu said they held the rally to appreciate Umahi ‘s effort in developing the state.

He noted that the Governor has surpassed his campaign promises to the state.

He said “we can unequivocally affirm that governor David Umahi have transformed Abakaliki capital city which now compete favourably with best cities in the country.

“He has painstakingly tackled the myriad of infrastructural challenges facing the state through massive construction of projects in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

“The financial prudence and transparency of the governor have attracted the attention of anti-graft agencies that now confer on him a special awards”, he said.

He noted that Hon. Linus Okorie has touched many lives of the constituents through his free medical outreach progrmme and other programmes he has organized for the constituency and called for his reelection in 2019.
