AFCON U-17: Amunike Blames Tanzania’s Loss on Tactical Errors

A member of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Technical Study Group (TSG) in the AFCON U-17 which kicked of Sunday in Dar-es-salam, Coach Emmanuel Amunike has blamed Tanzania’s loss to Nigeria to tactical errors.
Speaking exclusively to Prompt News
after the match Amunike said both teams could not manage the game to their advantage as they missed many goal chances.
According to the former African Best Footballer of the Year Award Winner, “It was an amazing game with too many goals from both teams”.
He pointed out that both teams wasted many goal chances which they could have converted if they had been more composed.
Amunike who is the current Head Coach of Tanzania senior national team, Taifa Stars however argued that both teams were guilty of too many tactical mistakes.
” Both teams made too many tactical mistakes. They could not manage the game to their advantage. Otherwise it was an entertaining match”. He concluded.
Meanwhile, Nigeria and Tanzania went goals crazy in the opening match but the Golden Eaglets later won the game 5-4 in a tie full of dramas with each side leading at some point.
